This month we are proud to share an exciting milestone: Gates Philanthropy Partners (GPP) is celebrating our 10-year anniversary!
When GPP was launched in 2016, our goal was simple—to create a trusted pathway for donors to give alongside the Gates Foundation to organizations that are driving high-impact, evidence-based solutions in global health and economic development. Ten years later, we are grateful for what that shared vision has made possible.
Over the past decade, we’ve had the privilege of working alongside a remarkable community of donors and partners committed to tackling some of the world’s most urgent challenges. Together, we have mobilized millions of dollars to improve livelihoods around the world.
Highlights from a decade of grantmaking include:
Global health innovation: Funding organizations that are on the frontiers of change—including those working to expand access to life-saving vaccines, treat or cure diseases, strengthen primary health systems, and create tools to reduce maternal and child mortality.
COVID-19 response: Mobilizing more than $150 million through the COVID-19 Fund to support testing, treatment research, vaccine delivery, and frontline efforts in low- and middle-income countries.
Gender equality: Supporting partners who are leading initiatives that advance women’s economic empowerment and expand opportunities for girls.
Education and economic mobility: Investing in programs that improve math and reading skills for children and help families build pathways to financial stability.
